This historic site gives visitors a wonderful view life on an upstate plantation owned by Governor William H. Gist. Tours of the plantation house, which has been restored to its earlier grandeur, are offered at various times of the day.

How to Get There

  • Take I-26 to exit #44 and go north on SC #49 toward Union. Continue through Cross Anchor to Cross Keys (approximately 5 miles). At Cross Keys take the right hand fork onto Old Buncombe Road and proceed 5 miles to the junction with Galilee Church Road and then go left. Continue on Galilee Church Road for 3 miles to the front gate.
