The Santee River has the largest river delta on the east coast of the United States. Much of the delta is now part of this Wildlife Management Area where you can hike and explore the scenic wilderness. Wildlife you may see here include wood storks, wading birds, ospreys, and bald eagles.

Note that many of the trails are closed from November 15th to February 1st.
