Magnolia Plantation is the oldest public tourist site in the lowcountry, and the oldest public gardens in America, opening its doors to visitors in 1872 for visitors to view the thousands of flowers and plants in its famous gardens. Other attractions here include the Audubon Swamp Garden, a petting zoo, wildlife tours, boat rides, and an indoor “Barbados Garden”.
