This large recreation complex is located along a creek in one of the older neighborhoods in the city of Florence. The park features include lighted tennis courts, picnic areas, a picnic shelter, a gazebo, gardens, interpretive nature trails, and two fitness courses. The historic one-room school building where Henry Timrod taught is preserved here, as well as an old steam locomotive built in 1917 by Vulcan Iron Works. The Liberty Garden is located here between the creek and the museum.

Lucas Park is only a few blocks away from this location.
